In this final session, we focus on continuous improvement and system effectiveness by exploring Clause 8.5 to 8.7 of ISO/IEC 17020:2026. The session will cover corrective actions, internal audits, and management review, which are essential mechanisms for monitoring and improving the performance of an inspection body.
We will examine how inspection bodies can move beyond reactive corrective actions towards more effective root cause analysis and sustainable improvement. The role of internal audits will be discussed as a tool for gaining meaningful insight into system performance, rather than simply fulfilling compliance requirements.
In addition, we will explore how management reviews can be conducted in a way that supports informed decision-making, strategic direction, and continual improvement. Participants will gain practical approaches to strengthening their improvement processes and ensuring their management system remains effective, relevant, and aligned with the updated requirements of ISO/IEC 17020:2026.
