The newly released SANAS TR 26-04 introduces revised criteria for the validation and verification of methods used by chemical laboratories and amplifies the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. This webinar will provide participants with a clear overview of the updated document, helping laboratories understand the terminology, principles and expectations that now apply when determining whether a method requires validation or verification and the extent of work that may be necessary.
During this webinar, we will unpack the key requirements of the new TR 26-04, including fitness for purpose, risk-based selection of validation and verification activities, method performance characteristics and acceptance criteria, validation planning, statistical evaluation, measurement uncertainty, reporting and retention of validation evidence. We will also discuss the requirements for ongoing review of method performance and the circumstances that may trigger reverification or revalidation.
Particular attention will be given to helping participants understand what the revised requirements mean for laboratories and what they should be aware of when reviewing their existing approach to method validation and verification.
