An environmental monitoring programme should do more than generate swab results and completed records. When it is correctly designed and interpreted, it becomes a powerful tool for identifying weaknesses before they develop into product contamination or a food safety incident.
This webinar will address common misconceptions and weaknesses in the development and implementation of environmental monitoring programmes. Participants will explore risk-based sampling, environmental zoning, sampling locations, frequencies, target organisms, result interpretation, trend analysis, escalation, investigation, and appropriate action.
The session will demonstrate how organisations can move beyond reacting to isolated results and begin using environmental monitoring data to identify contamination patterns, ineffective cleaning, harbourage areas, and weakening controls. The goal is not simply to collect results, but to understand what those results are telling us.
